I drew this comic on Saturday. I spent all day Sunday working on a commission for a client. I finished this morning at 4AM. My house is a disaster. My office looks like someone vomited computer graphics magazines all over the place. I have email coming out the wazoo because my inbox can no longer contain it. And then there’s the actual physical mail which, combined with the unwashed laundry, is probably going to topple on me and kill me the moment I open the office door to resume the rest of my life.

Oh well! I’m taking a day just to sleep because I’ve been up 24 hours straight. I’ll deal with all that stuff when I wake up. Sometime on Tuesday, I think.

  1. Hey I started following your site because of Rats! because I’m thinking of applying to the corps of cadets next year and was just doing some research and your site popped up. I think your comics are hilarious. Anyway, I just wanted to say I really like your work-in-progress picture that you showed. I noticed that you do it all on the first layer, which I though was a little unusual. Most other digital artists that I know of use multiple layers. It’s cool; It’s kind of like you’re still just painting. That’s cool

  2. Jennifer, glad you enjoyed the comics! The Corps of Cadets is definitely an experience of a lifetime. As for the digital art, there are actually dozens of layers in the image. But I flattened it to send to the publisher and that’s when I made the screen capture. Trust me, I’m very fond of layers!
