Episode 42 – How hot is too hot?

How hot is too hot?  Is it possible to put too much sex in an erotica story?

Well actually, yeah.  Most seasoned erotica writer realize that an erotica story has to be more than sex scenes strung together with a flimsy plot.  Determining how much sex to put in, and determining how intense those scenes will be, can get tricky. It comes with practice though.

Still, it’s always a good idea to keep an extinguisher on hand. You know, just in case…

  3. This is a subject dear to my heart. I’ve been accused of too much sex and not enough sex in my erotica stories, but for vastly different reasons. Do I agree with the criticism? Some, yes, on the first count – definitely a hindsight phenomena – but the second…? No way. In fact the story accused of not having enough sex turned out to be my first erotica print sale! I’ll take that as an affirmation that the sex in the story was spot on true to the tale I spun.

It does take time though to learn to judge quantity/quality of the sex in a story – of that I completely concur with you. Sex is good, sex is HOT, but it needs to fit to really set the page on fire.

  4. Glad you enjoyed the cartoon 😉 I do my best to make people laugh!
