Mich, thank you! I would love to give Princess endless play dates, but after yesterday's tea party (which lasted 6+ hours), I have once again realized that play dates wear the kids out and make them impossible to deal with the next day. So yes, pacing ourselves is going to be key this summer.

As an only child and best friend of a middle child, we rarely got to see each other every day over the summer. I (and she) certainly survived, still love our mothers, etc. so I don't think it's being a bad mom to want to set a reasonable schedule that's fair to you both!

Yes, bring TEG over! I'm making a schedule now, planning to save Monday mornings for open play date time, Wednesdays for play dates with Patty and her crew, Fridays for day trips. Tuesdays and Thursdays, we'll be in karate class, so no play dates those days. Bring TEG and yourself over and we'll have fun!
