Angelic_Rebel,

I've picked up the second book in the series, and it's currently sitting on my netbook waiting to be read. I'm looking forward to see how Bella's character develops. Again, I've read reviews both ridiculously positive and vehemently negative regarding the Twilight series and Bella's character in particular, so I've got to see for myself what's really going on. I sincerely hope I enjoy the other books as much as I did the first. Twilight was such massive brain candy I didn't really care about the flaws.

I have read all of the Twilight books, thanks to my teenager. And after reading the first book, I think Edward's attraction to Bella is her maturity. Since Edward will forever be seventeen, Bella is the perfect mate for him. She's mysterious, he can't read her mind. Also, she challenges his weakness, he wants her as snack, she smells good and it drives him crazy. And she has the maturity that matches Edward's old soul. You will love the rest of the books.

D.L.,

Yeah, I expect Bella will have to become interesting somehow, so I'm willing to read on. Again, I can't fathom it. The book is flawed in a lot of ways that would really annoy me, but once I got into the third chapter, there was no way I was putting it down until I was done. Wait till you read this Friday's post on what I read next. The contrast is rather... astonishing.

I can't remember what made me pick up Twilight in the first place; probably just to see what all the hubbub was about. But I tore through it too.

And then I tore through the rest of them, as well. Yes, after the first book, I bought the rest of them together. Read one after the other, like popcorn, on my Touch.

You find out what makes Bella interesting, but that's all I'm going to say.
